“The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority serves residents of the City of Winnipeg as well as the Rural Municipalities of East and West St. Paul. The WRHA also provides health care support and specialty referral services to nearly half a million Manitobans who live beyond these boundaries as well as residents of northwestern Ontario and Nunavut who require the Specialty referral services and expertise available within the Winnipeg Health Region." | |||

Friends Housing gratefully acknowledges the ongoing support and financial assistant we receive from the Winnipeg Foundation and its donors. A recent $100,000 grant provided by the Winnipeg Foundation has made it possible for us to undertake a major and much needed project involving the renovation of tenant units and common areas of our facility. This generous grant allows Friends Housing to continue offering safe, affordable and supportive housing for persons who have a chronic mental illness. |

The Winnipeg Foundation contributes to Friends Housing Inc through its YiP (Youth in Philanthropy) program. “ YiP is a program designed to introduce local high school students to philanthropy and community development. The program provides hands-on experience that benefits both participating students and local charities. |
