Friends Housing Inc is funded by Manitoba Housing and Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

“ Manitoba Housing rents affordable and suitable housing to Manitobans in need. Manitoba Housing administers and manages approximately 13,100 rental housing residences across the province and strives to provide quality housing at an affordable rent to individuals, seniors, and families. Manitoba Housing does not provide emergency housing.”

“ The Winnipeg Health Region serves residents of the City of Winnipeg as well as the Rural Municipalities of East and West St. Paul, with a total population of just over 700,000 people. The Health Region also provides health care support and specialty referral services to nearly half a million Manitobans who live beyond these boundaries as well as residents of northwestern Ontario and Nunavut who require the Specialty referral services and expertise available within the Winnipeg Health Region.

More than 28,000 people work in the Winnipeg Health Region. With an annual operating budget of nearly $2.1 billion dollars, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority operates or funds over 200 health service facilities and programs.”

The Winnipeg Foundation is also a great contributor to Friends Housing Inc through its YIP (Youth in Philanthropy)
“ YiP is a program designed to introduce local high school students to philanthropy and community development. The program provides hands-on experience that benefits both participating students and local charities.”

Public Service Alliance of Canada Social Justice Fund (SJF) has provided a grant to Friends Housing Inc towards tenant daily activities.

“ The SJF has a mandate to support and fund anti-poverty initiatives in Canada that promote social justice through actions aimed at social, human and economic development.”
